Short answer: yes, you can sell on TikTok Shop with AI UGC videos, as long as they are disclosed as AI-generated and show the product exactly as it is. TikTok Shop's US policy on AI content took effect September 2, 2026. Below is what it allows and bans for each UGC format sellers actually make, and how a generated video gets into a Product GMV Max campaign.
Images free, 150 credits, no card · video from $0.20 with the $1 trial

The policy bans AI that changes the product's size, color, material, quantity, features or compatibility. So start from your own product photo, keep the bundle exactly as sold, and reject any render where the product drifted. Kreavo composites the actual product into the scene as an image first, which is where you check it.
GMV Max does not take uploaded files. It reads videos already posted on your official or business account connected to the shop, authorized accounts in your Shop Business Center, authorized Spark Ads posts, and affiliate creatives you have permission to use.
When you post, enable the toggle and TikTok shows "Disclosed by creator as AI-generated". Only content made with TikTok's own AI effects is labeled automatically. A video made in any outside tool, Kreavo included, needs you to disclose it, by the toggle or by on-screen text, a sticker, a watermark or a note in the caption.
TikTok recommends posting with a product anchor link so the video is matched to the right product. Then the campaign picks among every eligible video by itself. Your job is to keep the pool full of different angles, not to pick the winner by hand.
TikTok Shop's US page "AI-Generated Content Restrictions and Requirements" applies from September 2, 2026. You must disclose content that is fully generated or significantly edited by AI, and anything with synthetic faces, voices, digital humans or realistic AI effects that could mislead a viewer. AI is not banned. What is banned is AI that misleads: a product shown bigger, in another color or with accessories it does not include, an effect the product cannot deliver, a before-and-after that compresses time, a made-up "doctor" or "professor" endorsing a health product, scary AI images of diseases to sell supplements, someone's likeness or voice without permission, and a missing or false AI label. Enforcement runs from reduced visibility and product links removed from the video, through Creator Health Rating deductions, up to account suspension and permanent bans for repeated or severe cases. That last part is why the format choices below matter more than the generation tool.
Product GMV Max is the campaign type TikTok uses for Shop ads, and TikTok describes it as an automated campaign that chooses the products, creative assets and placements most likely to sell. It explores all the creatives available to it, and TikTok's own advice is to keep a diverse and sufficient creative pool so the system can find strong videos. In practice that means the constraint is no longer which single video you bet on. It is how many different, policy-safe angles you can keep posting on your connected accounts. A seller who posts three videos a month gives the campaign three options. A seller who posts thirty gives it thirty, and lets the data choose.
One tested angle on Kreavo is a product image plus a clip generated from it: $0.07 for the image and $0.20 for the cheapest clip of the price index, so $0.27 an angle. Ten different angles for the GMV Max pool come to $2.70. These are the prices the app charges, read from the model catalog when this page was built. The full table by model is on the cost per ad angle page. The cheap clips are the right ones for a test. Once GMV Max has spent behind an angle and it sells, render that one again on a premium model for the long run.
TikTok Seller Center has its own AI video tools that turn product images into shoppable videos, and content made with TikTok's own AI effects is labeled automatically. If what you need is a quick product-only clip from your listing photos, try those first. An outside tool earns its place when you need what they do not do: the same AI creator across dozens of videos, your product in a real hand in a real-looking bathroom or car, specific hooks written for your audience, or the same batch reused for Meta and Amazon. That is the job Kreavo is built for.
