Tell us what you sell, what it does, who it is for and the tone you want. Get 10 ready-to-record hooks for your next UGC video. Copy the ones you like and record them, or generate the video with AI UGC.
On TikTok, Reels and Shorts, a viewer decides whether to keep watching before your video has really started. The hook is everything that happens in that window: the first sentence the creator says, the first caption on screen, and the first thing the camera shows. If those two seconds do not give the viewer a reason to stay, the rest of the video, the product demo, the offer, the call to action, is never seen. That is why teams that run UGC ads at volume spend more time on hooks than on any other part of the script, and why they test several hooks on the same body rather than several bodies with the same hook.
Most strong UGC hooks fall into a handful of patterns. The generator above mixes them so you can see which one fits your product and audience.
UGC works because it sounds like a person, not a brand. A good hook is short enough to say in one breath, uses the language your customers use in reviews and comments, and contains at least one specific detail: a number, a timeframe, a situation, a name. Generic lines like "you need this product" get skipped because they could be about anything. "I stopped buying concealer after four weeks of this" gets watched because it could only be about one thing. Keep the product name out of the hook when the problem is more interesting than the brand, and put it in when the brand itself is the news.
A hook is only useful once it is recorded. If you work with human creators, send them three or four hooks with the same body script and ask for one take of each. If you use an AI UGC generator, paste the hook into the script, pick a ready-made AI influencer or one you created with a consistent face, upload your real product so it is composited faithfully into the scene, and generate the video in minutes. Each AI UGC video costs $1 to $5 depending on the model, so you can produce every hook from this list as its own video, run them side by side, and keep the winner. Full details on credits and per-video prices are on the UGC pricing page.
Change one thing at a time. Keep the body of the video, the product shots and the call to action identical, and swap only the first two seconds. Run the variations in the same ad set with the same budget and compare how many viewers stay past the hook and how many convert. When one hook clearly wins, write five new variations of that same pattern and test again. The generator above is built for exactly this loop: same product, same audience, a different tone or angle, ten new openings each time.
