What is GPT Image 2.6?
GPT Image 2.6 is OpenAI's image model released on November 4, 2026, the successor of GPT Image 2.5. It comes in two variants: Flare, built for speed, and Sunburst, built for detail and for edits that stay consistent from one pass to the next. The release adds animated GIF output to OpenAI's image model. Kreavo runs both variants in its image studio, plus GPT Image 2.6 Budget, a fixed-price 1K mode for volume (Budget is Kreavo's name, not an OpenAI tier).
