What a UGC ad script needs

Every short-form UGC ad that converts has the same skeleton, whatever the product. The hook is the first sentence and the first image: it earns the next few seconds by naming a problem, a surprise or a specific result. The body delivers on that promise with one demonstration, one reason to believe and one detail only a real user would know. The call to action tells the viewer what to do next in words a person would actually say, not a slogan.

The shot list is what most free script generators leave out, and it is what makes a script filmable. Each spoken line is paired with what the phone shows at that moment: a selfie talking to camera, a close-up of the texture, the product in the hand, the result. A creator can shoot from it in one take, and each shot can become one AI video clip.

Six angles worth testing

  • Problem → solution. Open on the frustration your buyer has, then show the product removing it. The default for most products because the viewer recognises themselves before they see a brand.
  • Honest testimonial. A customer telling a friend what changed. Works when the result is easy to describe in one sentence and the product has a clear before.
  • Unboxing & first try. Opening the package, first use, first reaction. Good for packaging, gifts and anything with a satisfying first moment.
  • Before & after. The situation before, the moment of use, the result. Keep the after realistic: platforms reject exaggerated transformations.
  • Comparison. What the viewer uses today against your product, fair and specific. Strong when you replace a habit rather than create a new one.
  • Day in the life. The product shown naturally inside a routine: morning, gym bag, desk, kitchen. Feels least like an ad, so it fits warm audiences and retargeting.

How to make a script sound like a real customer

Read your reviews, comments and support emails before you write, and steal the words people use. "My foundation kept separating by lunch" beats "long-lasting coverage" every time, because it is specific and it is how buyers talk. Use contractions, short sentences and one idea per line. Cut every adjective a brand would use and nobody would say out loud.

Keep the product name out of the first sentence unless the brand itself is the news. Put one concrete detail in the body: a time of day, a place, a number you can prove. And end with an action, not a tagline: "the link is right there, they ship fast" sounds like a person; "elevate your routine today" does not.

From script to video

With a human creator, send the script and the shot list together and ask for two takes of the hook. With AI UGC, generate the script once, then produce each shot as a clip featuring the same AI influencer and your real product photo. Most AI video models make short clips (up to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5 and 15 seconds on Kling 3.0), so a 30 or 60 second script is usually built from several clips edited together.

For clips that look filmed on a phone rather than rendered, write each shot as a realistic handheld prompt with the AI video prompt generator. To test openings on the same body, run your product through the UGC hook generator and swap only the first shot. More hooks and full examples are in the UGC ad examples guide.

Stay inside platform ad rules

TikTok and Meta review every ad. Scripts that promise medical results, weight loss, income or guaranteed outcomes get rejected or limited, and so do before-and-after claims that look exaggerated. The generator avoids those claims by design; if you add numbers, make sure you can prove them. If the video uses an AI-generated person, read whether you need to disclose AI-generated ads before you launch.

UGC script FAQ

Is the UGC script generator free?

Yes. You can write 5 scripts a day without an account. Each script comes with a hook, the spoken body, a call to action, an on-screen caption and a shot list you can hand to a creator or turn into AI video prompts.

What is the difference between a UGC script and a regular ad script?

A UGC script is written to be said by one person holding a phone, in the first person, the way a customer talks to a friend. There is no narrator, no slogan and no product jargon. A regular ad script usually has a voice-over, brand lines and polished visuals; UGC wins attention on TikTok and Reels because it does not look like that.

How long should a UGC ad be?

Start with 15 to 30 seconds for cold audiences on TikTok and Reels: one problem, one product moment, one call to action. Use 45 to 60 seconds when the product needs a demonstration or a comparison, or for retargeting people who already know you. The generator sizes the word count to the length you pick.

Which angle should I choose?

Problem → solution is the safest first test. Add a testimonial and a comparison once you know which problem your buyers care about most, and keep unboxing and day-in-the-life for products whose packaging or routine is part of the appeal. Testing two or three angles on the same product teaches you more than ten versions of one.

Can I turn the script into an AI UGC video?

Yes. The shot list maps each spoken line to a shot. On Kreavo you pick an AI influencer, add your product photo and generate each shot as a clip. Video needs the $1 trial or a paid plan.

Does the generator make health or income claims?

No. It is instructed never to write medical, weight-loss, income or guaranteed-result claims, and never to invent statistics or prices. Add your own verified numbers before you publish, and check the ad rules of the platform you run on.
