Your image prompts

Describe your product, pick a style and hit Write. Below is the kind of prompt you will get.

Example (lifestyle, 4:5)

Keep the exact product from the reference image: same shape, same label, same colours, same proportions. The product stands on a pale oak bathroom shelf next to a rolled white cotton towel and a small green plant, shot at eye level with a 50mm lens from about 60 cm. Soft morning daylight from a window on the left casts a long gentle shadow to the right. Blurred white tiles in the background, natural colours, crisp label. 4:5.

Pick the style for the placement

  • Studio packshot. The product alone on a clean seamless background. Your store's main image, marketplace listings and comparison tables.
  • Lifestyle. The product in a real home or place, in natural use. Ads, landing pages and social posts, where buyers need to picture it in their own life.
  • Flat lay. Top-down, with a few props that tell the story (a towel, a coffee cup, a notebook). Instagram, bundles and kits.
  • In-hand UGC. A real hand holding the product, phone-camera look. Feels like a customer photo: strong in TikTok and Reels ads and reviews sections.
  • Ingredients & materials. The product surrounded by what it is made of. Food, drinks, skincare and anything where the ingredients are the selling point.
  • Seasonal campaign. Holiday, summer, back-to-school. Refreshes your creative without a new shoot.

Anatomy of a product photo prompt

  1. 1Reference lock. "Keep the exact product from the reference image: same shape, same label, same colours, same proportions." Upload a clean photo of your product; the words protect it from being redesigned.
  2. 2Composition and camera. Where the product stands, the angle (eye level, top-down, three-quarter), the lens and the distance. "Shot at eye level with a 50mm lens" gives a natural perspective; wide lenses distort packaging.
  3. 3Surface and two to four props. A marble counter, a pale oak shelf, a linen cloth. Props should explain the use (a towel for skincare, a mug for coffee), not fill the frame.
  4. 4Light with a direction. "Soft morning daylight from a window on the left" tells the model where shadows fall, which is what makes a product look placed rather than pasted.
  5. 5Background and finish. Blurred or plain, natural colours, crisp label. End with the aspect ratio you need.

A complete example

A lifestyle shot for a skincare bottle, in the 4:5 format used by feed ads:

Keep the exact product from the reference image: same shape, same label, same colours, same proportions. The product stands on a pale oak bathroom shelf next to a rolled white cotton towel and a small green plant, shot at eye level with a 50mm lens from about 60 cm. Soft morning daylight from a window on the left casts a long gentle shadow to the right. Blurred white tiles in the background, natural colours, crisp label. 4:5.

Notice that the prompt says almost nothing about how the bottle looks. The reference photo carries the product; the prompt carries everything around it.

Common mistakes

  • Describing the packaging in detail instead of uploading it: the model redraws the label from your words and gets it wrong.
  • Asking for text, logos or claims that are not on the real product: they will appear, misspelled.
  • Too many props: the product stops being the subject. Two to four is enough.
  • No light direction: the product looks pasted onto the background because its shadows do not match.
  • Generating square and cropping to 9:16 later: the product gets cut. Generate in the final ratio.

From prompt to product photo

Generate with a model that accepts reference images: Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 and Seedream each have their own prices and strengths. AI image prompt FAQ

Is the AI image prompt generator free?

Yes, 5 runs a day without an account. Each run gives you four prompts in the style you picked and a negative prompt.

Will the AI keep my real product?

Use a model that accepts a reference image and upload a clean photo of your product. Every prompt starts with a reference-lock sentence that asks the model to keep the exact shape, label and colours. Check the label in the result before you publish: small text is still the hardest part for image models.

Which image models do these prompts work with?

Any model that takes a text prompt, and best those that also take a reference image, such as Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 and Seedream. The prompts are plain English with no model-specific syntax.

Which aspect ratio should I choose?

4:5 for feed ads on Instagram and Facebook, 9:16 for Stories, Reels and TikTok, 1:1 for marketplaces and square placements, 16:9 for web banners and YouTube. Generate in the ratio you will publish in rather than cropping later, so nothing important ends up outside the frame.

Can I turn the image into a video?

Yes. Use the image as the start frame or the product reference in a video model, and write the motion with the AI video prompt generator.
